Customer Review: Does the job
Have used the inverter on a couple 2-hour trips. Ran a Dell laptop and video game chargers off it the whole time with no problems. Only possible issue is a whine introduced into the car stereo (aux input) from a laptop running off the inverter. In other words, I was running the laptop off the inverter and plugged the laptop’s headphone output into the car stereo’s auxiliary input and there was a noticeable whine coming out of the speakers. It didn’t affect the operation of the stereo, laptop or inverter, and the inverter still works fine. The only other note is that running the inverter with the car engine off causes the inverter fan to run at full speed, which is rather loud. The inverter fan does not normally come on when the car engine is running.

For under $30, you can’t beat this little unit for powering laptops, small DVD players, and children’s games. They could have put the power outlets further apart. That’s our only gripe. Great little unit. Well made.

Customer Review: An Easy and Successful Way to Menu-Plan
This is such a great concept- and it works, if you are faithful to it. I got cookbook/guide a while ago and used it haphazardly at first, choosing to follow it on some weeks and ignore it on others. Then, a friend of mine who saw it at my house and ordered it started following it faithfully and told me of her good experiences with the book. I decided that I would give it a go, and have not been disappointed. I have only skipped one recipe in the “schedule,” called Beans and Greens, because I knew my family would not go for it, but I make all the others without prejudice. For instance, last night I made the Mexican Lasagne and even though I KNOW my daughter doesn’t like beans/legumes, I put the black beans in the recipe anyway, just as it was written. Surprise! She loved it! I am of the opinion that it is good to expose our kids to all kinds of different foods and not give in to their eating quirks and preferences or you end up creating the “mac and chese-only” monster. My family has enjoyed every recipe I have made, and I spend far less time stressing over dinner. We have saved time, money and effort, and I can safely recommend this book now from EXPERIENCE. One caveat I should mention- sometimes I notice that the author could be a little more clear in her instructions. If you are a brand new cook, you may run into some confusion over some of the recipes. I would suggest reading through them first and making sure you understand everything before you begin cooking. For example, in the recipe I cooked last evening (Mex. Lasagne), one of the ingredients listed was a can of enchilada sauce. A can? How many ounces? I couldn’t find enchilada sauce at my grocery, so decided to make my own from a recipe, but I needed to know how many ounces of sauce to add to the recipe. I ended up doing a search on the internet and found that Ortega sells cans of Enchilada Sauce that are 10 oz. it would have been a lot easier if the ingredient list called for one 10 oz. can of enchilada sauce…. Still, a little creativity usually overcomes these few shortfalls. I still think the book is good enough to give it a 5 star rating.

This was such a good purchase. Not only was it very inexpensive, the quality was quite good. The table is sturdy and easy to set up. It was balanced (nothing lop-sidded here). The chairs were a really good buy too. They are padded. They look much better than the institutional tan chairs that look like they came from a church hall. I will use this over and over throughout the year for extra seating and as a game table.

Customer Review: Leapfrog Forgot the Long Vowel Sounds!
As an elementary school educator and a mother of two under the age of three, I am a huge advocate of anything that helps children with learning. My son received a magnetic letter learner made by LeapFrog that he just LOVES and is truly enabling him to learn all of his letters and sounds. I especially liked the fact that all of the vowels had both the short and long vowel sounds. When a friend told me about these videos, I did not hesitate to order them.

I was quite disappointed when the only vowel sounds given on the Talking Letter Factory and Talking Words Factory DVDs were the short vowels. LeapFrog loses one star from me for that.

I still give this DVD set 4 stars for its high ability to keep a 27 month old’s attention while helping him to learn at the same time. It even teaches children about capital letters versus lower case letters. Way to go Leapfrog! Just hoping that Leapfrog makes another addition to this adding the neglected long vowel sounds, making it the perfect letter learning DVD.

I had received the Dora Talking House for free, but it came with only two pieces of furniture, so I wanted to get more. Customer Review: Great to have on hand, just in case
The rather funny name for this item aside, it is a serious kit for times when things get dicey. It is very small, and supposedly waterproof, though I will have to take this on faith for now. I suggest a full first aid kit for true emergencies, but this one is small and light enough for the backpack or car glove box. When used as a part of a more comprehensive survival kit, this little bag of tricks is well worth the money.

Customer Review: Can be used on the right side
I live in Japan, thus must wear it on the right side. The mirror is not designed to go on the right side, but will work as it is highly adjustable. I also purchased a helmet mounted mirror which produced much more vibration. The Bike Peddler mirror is much more stable, and easier to adjust for proper viewing. I have very thin frames and this mirror held just fine. Neither mirror works well with a backpack, unless the backpack is small and you ride in an upright position. I would recommend this mirror to anyone.

This controller is my controller of choice when I play PS3 games now. Good controller with a good feel (bit heavier than the non-dualshock), but suits me just fine. I was expecting that all my games would now have the vibrating effect, but found out that it is only for some. But, it’s still no problem. Good product and glad I bought it.

These are really good except they tend to make a low dull vibrating sound on less than smooth asphalt and I do have to readjust every once in a while again on less than perfectly smooth roads. I actually only use one of them on my bike, but couldn’t resist getting the pair at a great price in case I loose one or someone else wants to buy it off of me!
Customer Review: Perfect!
Got this mirror over a year ago and installed it on my bike. I recently got a new bike and when I started riding it, I could not believe how much I miss the mirror! It is easy to install, it’s out of the way and it allows for a great backward view due to the slightly convex mirror. When I first got it, I was expecting it to interfere with my knee or my leg interfering with the backward visibility…not the case at all. I have recommended it to all my friends and will purchase another for my second bike. I only have the left mirror and haven’t felt a need for the right side one.

Customer Review: Best wagon ever.
I am thrilled with this purchase for our 2 y/o. He loves to go for rides in it alone or with a friend and plenty of leg room for both! When he’s alone we flip down the other side for a table for him and what ever “tweasuwes” he finds. With the seat belts, I don’t worry about him suddenly tumbling out, or standing up while moving. The cup holders are especially nice and fit a range of sizes. All in all a great deal.

BUT! Be prepared to spend some time on assembly. Not difficult, just a little time consuming, but well worth it.

My one year old loves this wagon! He will actually sit still as long as he’s in it. Great for wine festivals to haul him and lots of stuff-we get lots of compliments on it too! The canopy Radio Flyer Wagon Canopy is also great. Had him under it in a downpour and he and everything in the wagon were dry as a bone. The handle also comes off so it more easily fits in a vehicle.

My husband & I were looking for a nice, small table that would work great for poker night & scrapbooking marathons & so far we haven’t been disappointed yet! The table is lightweight & durable so myself (being a small female), can move & operate it without a problem. The packaging is not extra protective for the padding on this product so do beware! The first time it arrived there was a big punch in the packaging that went through to the product padding & ruined the top. The second time there was yet another punch, however, it went through to the bottom end of the table & didn’t affect it at all. The company was great in re-placing so that helped save the experiance.

After reading some of the reviews I actually thought I might be in over my head purchasing this disc. But it really isn’t that bad. It’s best if you take in in short spurts to make sure you’re processing all of th information. It’s very interesting to understand all of the functions of your expensive hdtv, it really makes you feel as though you are getting your money’s worth. I definitely noticed a picture difference after calibrating a 32″ Samsung LCD and a 56″ Samsung DLP.

Customer Review: If you want to know what is wrong with your HDTV…
…then this disc might be for you! Much of the narration on this disc deals with what is wrong with current HDTVs. Frankly, I didn’t buy this to educate myself about how current technology is lacking; I bought this so I could optimize my TV to it’s fullest potential.

If you are interested in optimizing the following settings on your HDTV, you might be interested in knowing this disc either NEVER mentions them at all, or never explains HOW to adjust them: HDMI black level, Gamma, Tint, White Balance, Color Space, Saturation, Temperature, xvYCC, Black Adjust, Backlight (no, not even backlight!) and more.

Also, after struggling to be patient throughout the vague, repetitive narration, waiting for it to prompt me to perform an adjustment for the current calibration topic, the disc would more often than not move right on to the next topic, never specifying which of the quick screens that flashed by throughout the narrative was the one to use, much less when.

As another reviewer mentioned, there might be something wrong with the Contrast test screens. Even at a setting value of 100, I could still see a very definitive lineation between the highest two white bars.

The publishers of this disc clearly have an agenda, speaking long and often about how current HDTV’s are lacking. I just wish that agenda included a complete optimization of my HDTV.
