Customer Review: I’d give it about a 3.5 if I could
I guess I have to agree with other reviews I’ve read in print and online - this movie was good for the first hour, and then the ending was kind of a deflation of the mood that was set in the start. The nature of the zombie/vampires was not well explored, particularly the clear demonstration of their vestigial intelligence and apparent social organization. The film just kind of gallumphs to a close. I would also have to agree with criticisms of the sometimes-chunky CGI; thi sis the first film I’ve ever saw that I actually thought, gee, it wouldn’t be so bad if at some future date they went back and retouched some of the computer graphics. Much of it was surprisingly cheesy. Will Smith does a good job in his role — loved the dog, as well. (Joe Sixpack, Slipcue)

Customer Review: Smith made the unreal, real.
The story and the script were amazing. But like all movies acting can make it or kill it in the end. That being said, something happened to Will Smith between I Robot and The Pursuit of Happyness where he went from being a snotty so so actor to becoming a flippin amazing actor. I have no idea what it was. Maybe it was having a child. I have no idea but this is the second film he has been in where he blew me away. Like I robot he was working within a fictional future world which is why I am comparing the films. I think the challenge of all actors is to make the unreal, real. This is really really really hard in a film like this one that is so far from reality yet Will did it and I think it is a crowning achievement for him as an actor. It was nothing short of brilliance.

Customer Review: Groundhog Day is a 1993 classic film
Groundhog Day is one of the best films of all time and also the best movie of the 1990’s. This film would be a good movie to watch on Groundhog Day.
Customer Review: Surefire humor
This is one of the funniest films of the Nineties, in my opinion. Bill Murray perfectly captures a thoroughly dislikable, self-centered jerk whose soul is polished by having to re-live the same day over and over till he gets it right. In the process, the vignettes of his sometimes clumsy efforts are hysterical. A wonderful collection of one-liners, too.

Customer Review: Very nice wireless Thermo-Hygrometer for the price
I purchased this unit for monitoring the humidity in the crawlspace of my house. Recently I installed a dedumidifier and covered the crawlspace to prevent high humidity. So, the remote wireless sensor unit is mounted under the house and the main unit is at my living room. I like the accuracy and large digital display.
Customer Review: Very disappointed
I have it in my home far from any heat generating appliances still this unit reads 85 degrees… My central AC is set for 70, so I just know its no where near 85 degrees, so I put this device directly in front of a fan and the temperature starts going up higher! Its either broken or completely inaccurate because its never dropped below 85 degrees in the two days that I’ve had it. I’m thinking of placing it in the freezer just to see if it will lower its temperature. I’m disappointed. The unit itself looks nice and stylish with a huge read out, it requires a total of 4 AA batteries, 2 for the main unit and another 2 for the secondary sensor that can be placed outside. The instructions say not to use rechargable batteries because they don’t give a constant supply of power.

Three O’Clock High

Customer Review: FINALLY OUT ON DVD!
If I was ever going to be marooned on a deserted isle (with electical power, of course) there are three comedy movies I would want with me: The Odd Couple, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Three O’Clock High. For the longest time I was going to have to make due with just the first two since Three O’Clock High went out of print years ago. I almost forked over an insane amount of money when I saw a 5th generation copy of a rental store video selling on a popular auction site, but it just wasn’t worth it to me. I am glad I waited, because someone with more than two brain cells to rub together took the initiative and released this hilarious and fast-paced comedy for both older fans and a whole new audience. Not as teen-sophisticated as “Sixteen Candles” or “Pretty in Pink”, and not as gnarly and racy as “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”, this high school comedy film has a lot going for it in its own right. It even has an early appearance of Mitch Pileggi (X-Files’ “Skinner”) as “The Duke-ster” - playing a HILARIOUS truant officer. The only downfall is the very heavily soaked ’80’s musical soundtrack, but this is it. If you can still stomach the likes of Tangerine Dream with their ‘keytars’ drum machines, and synth samplers, then you are in for a really fun 90 minutes. The transfer to DVD is bright and clear, and the cover still has the original theatrical artwork.
Customer Review: Glad to see this finally make it to DVD
I actually have an old VHS copy of this movie, because until now this one was never released on DVD. This is for sure a cool movie, along the lines of two more well known 80’s High School comedies, “Ferris Beuller’s Day Off” and “Better Off Dead”. The humourous camera angles, the extreme close ups of the minute hand on the clock, the pep rally where cheerleaders attack a dummy of the opposing team and beat it with bats while the bully looks over at Jerry from the other side of the gym with a look like “This is what’s gonna happen to you after school”…..classic 80’s comedy!
